Celebrating their 12th year anniversary as a band, The John Barraza Project was formed in 2012, by dedicated and talented musicians with a common goal, to create a variety cover band that was truly memorable. Playing a wide array of jukebox hits, they play all the songs the crowd loves. Every now and then you just may hear an original tune. The band is a group of skilled, professional, and high-energy musicians. All this comes together to provide a crowd-pleasing show that is truly memorable!
The band showcases the talents of four veteran performers, each with over twenty years of individual musical experience. Drummers JJ Garcia & Juan Cervantes bring the heartbeat to their music. Bassist Mark Bishop provides the bottom end and groove. Guitarist/songwriter John Barraza has been making music for more than 20 years.
Largely self-taught, he began his musical journey with an acoustic guitar and a dream to deliver the best musical entertainment possible.
At times offering a 4-5-piece package, JBP brings in the likes of percussionists, keyboardists or the occassional harp or saxophonist, such as the uber-talented Josh Olivares and Wildfly with his plethora of musical gadgets. Together this provides a depth to their music that is second to none!
